They are uncomfortable, their color wears out in days, they are expensive most of the time and they are such a hassle to go shopping for so why do most people in America wear jeans? Sure they may look good and go with almost anything but you know that looks may be deceiving. Every day I come rushing home to take off the dreaded pair of pants and swap them for a pair of sweatpants, their not fashionable, but for a girl my age they are totally in style with a pair of uggs and are just plain comfortable, I mean this should just stay a after school luxury right? But hold it right their, do not give up on jeans just yet, this just means some alternatives have got to be made!
In the store: In the mall hunting for jeans? Let a store associate measure you, it may seem a little embarrassing but you can see if you are wearing the right sized jeans or if it is possible find the right sized jeans when you are extremely tall and thin (just an example). You don't want to walk out for the rest of your life with the wrong sized jeans instead of facing the awkwardness for 5 minutes, I have faced the five minutes and so can you. But if the associate is unable to do so (or you just don't want to kick up the courage) you can also just take a couple of the same jeans that have survived your "lookin' good" checklist in different sizes to the changing room so you can have less of a hassle finding the perfect size.
Hold the trash-bag funeral till next year: Although it won't make your jeans color everlasting, if you don't put your denim jeans in the dryer when you are washing them, you can reduce shrinkage and color loss. Instead, hang them on a towel rack in your bathroom or over a chair. You can also get a darker wash, which will give your jeans more of a lasting color over time, plus they just (in my opinion) look cuter with anything you are wearing.
I hope I just helped some ladies in jean distress!
Fun! Great idea! Also, I was looking at you Blogs That Catch My Intrest and I tried to click on the links and they do not work! Thanks for featuring me though! If you ever want to merge ideas, we could do a joint post!
